‘Greenscape’ Hand-Painted Platter
The Greenscape Platter is the kind of piece that anchors a table the moment it’s set down. Designed by ANUT Cairo in close collaboration with Fayoum potter Mohamed Mahmoud, its bold central tree rises from a clean white background in vibrant browns and greens – lively, expressive, and full of the energy that only hand-painted pottery can carry.
At 35 to 37cm in diameter, it’s generous enough to carry a proper feast and striking enough to hold its own as a purely decorative centrepiece when the table is bare. Each platter is painted entirely by hand, meaning no two are identical – every brushstroke a direct reflection of Mohamed Mahmoud’s skill and craft. A statement piece rooted in Fayoum’s ancient pottery tradition and designed for the modern table. Fill it, display it, and let it be the first thing people notice.
